Color Development of Dark Angel (IrTw_2022-06_JoF-04)

Dark Angel (IrTw-04) cut her egg on June 27, 2022, as the fourth hatchling.

Her parents are Iron Man and Twister.

The parents are half-siblings.

The father is identical, but the mothers are of different origins.

Dark Angel is a mix of Americano and Green Beauty as well as Würmli.

The young lady started with a normal weight of 11 g and on July 8th, 2022, she molted for the first time.

What is striking, however, is their coloring.

Except for a few white to ocher lines, this neonate was more or less black.

The red eyes with the yellow border around the pupil gave her an additional fiery appearance.

For the first few weeks, baby mice were eaten disguised as chicks.

Since 09/18/2022 she eats without further action.

In the meantime, a shy worm has become a courageous biting snake dwarf, which currently weighs a little more than 50 g.

She is cared for in a terrarium together with Elli.

Since January, the body color has changed to an ebony-colored body color. The stripes have increased in number a little.

Since April of this year, the lady has been turning to her adult coloring; without, however, being able to guess what color design could result at the end of the recoloring.

Even though the sex hasn't been determined yet, I'm pretty sure it's a female.
