Properties and characteristics:
Those Morelia viridis that come from this line of origin are characterized by the color sky blue instead of green. There are several ways in which the coloration develops. To reflect this, three terms have been coined to describe the color change of neonates to the color blue.
High Blue
This category includes green tree pythons that visibly develop different amounts of blue areas. This also includes those females that acquire a blue body color due to the hormonal stimulation of a pregnancy and retain this color once they have given birth. However, this is not mandatory. There are females that only retain the body color blue after the third or fourth pregnancy.
True Blue
These Morelia viridis are snakes that first turn green and then turn blue as they develop into adults. This is the life stage of the first four to five years.
Super Blue
These animals are rare and difficult to breed. They are considered the crown jewels of this line. The group of green tree pythons in this category immediately turn a light blue color without going through the green intermediate coloration. 70% and more of the snake's body is covered in bright light blue.
To date, all neonates from which Super Blue animals have developed have been red-colored and the vast majority have been male.
