Color development of Elli RaCa-07

Elli is a scion of the RaCa clutch

Elli left her egg on May 13th, 2022.

As descendants of the parents Raptor and Cassiopea, the numerous ochre spots are particularly noticeable.

She is the one with the most spots by far.

Weighing 11g at birth, she was a normal weight neonate.

The first molt did not go according to plan, so the dwarf had to be helped with the molt with the help of a wet cosmetic tissue.

A one-off event so far.

Initially, baby mice masked with chick down were eaten.

After the sixth feeding, this neonate started independently catching and eating the prey that had been handed to it.

Since that time, no chief has been needed to encourage this green tree python to eat.

The rapid growth of Elli was astonishing. After a short time, she was one of the longest and heaviest of her clutch, alongside Sunrise.

The next ladder size was already used at the age of three months. At this point she already weighed 20 g.

At the age of six months, she was transferred to a terrarium. The weight at this time: 32 g

Here the gentle reptile enjoys the best of health.

Now, in March / April 2023, the color change starts.

I personally think this neonate is female based on its size and current weight of around 65 g.
