Iron Man fought his way out of his egg on November 8th, 2018.

His parents are Americano x Würmli.

A mix of a US designer with a bloodline that can be traced back to 1982.

Some of his ancestors lived here in the Dallas Zoo.

His mother belongs to a Morelia viridis bloodline, which is attributed to the Sorong type.

Iron Man was one of only four neonates to hatch from an initial clutch of 26 eggs.

In the first 21 days of egg incubation, the number of eggs decreased to 14.

An observation that occurred again and again with the clutches of Würmli.

Just before the remaining 14 eggs hatched, another 10 neonates died in their egg.

It didn't matter what color the neonates were.

The distribution of yellow colored neonate to red colored neonate was approximately 1 to 4.

This ratio was also reflected in the hatching of live neonates.

Three red animals and one yellow animal left their eggs alive 54 days after incubation.

Iron Man initially weighed 7g and getting this animal to eat was a huge challenge.

Iron Man began feeding on his own in July 2019.

Until this long-awaited event, he was stuffed.

In the meantime, Iron Man has developed into a normal male, which has successfully mated with Twister in the last year.

This year he was mated to Cassiopea.

Cassiopea is a sister of Twister and has the same father as Iron Man with Americano.

The coming weeks will show whether the mating will lead to viable neonates.
